Jackson Chourio Out of Lineup Friday

Twins Top Prospect to Miss Game With Right Hamstring Tightness

Chourio has been one of the Twins' hottest hitters in recent weeks, batting .370 with two homers and five RBIs in his last 10 games.

The Minnesota Twins will be without their top prospect, shortstop Jackson Chourio, when they take on the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.

Chourio was scratched from the lineup due to right hamstring tightness.

The injury is not considered serious, but the Twins are being cautious with their prized prospect.

Chourio is batting .275 with six homers and 28 RBIs in 62 games this season.

He has been one of the Twins' most productive hitters since being promoted to Triple-A in late May.

The Twins are hoping that Chourio will be able to return to the lineup soon.

In his absence, the Twins will likely start Nick Gordon at shortstop.
