Middletons takes a break from public life following her cancer diagnosis

Prince William has shared an update on Kate Middleton's health this week, nearly three months after Kate announced she had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Speaking to reporters at an event in London, William said that Kate is "doing well" and is "taking each day as it comes."

Kate has been taking a break from public life since her diagnosis, but she has been seen out and about on a few occasions in recent weeks.

The couple are expecting their third child later this year.

In a letter to the Irish Guards, Kate Middleton addressed her absence from the Trooping the Colour Colonels Review, an annual event held in London to mark the Queen's birthday.

In the letter, Kate said that she was "so sorry" to miss the event, but that she was "feeling much better" and was "looking forward to getting back to work soon."

Kate's diagnosis has been a shock to many, but her husband's update on her health this week is a welcome sign that she is making progress.
